Happy End

"Happy"is a funny word. In fact, happiness by itself is an interesting thing. Everybody wishes for it; everybody longs for it. Yet we want it for free, and we want it here and now; permanently.

The truth in happiness lies in giving, not receiving. The joy in giving lies in caring, not in demanding care. The virtue in caring lies within the fact that the people around you won't be there forever; that you have to make every single smile count.

But how can you truly smile to others when you can't even smile to yourself? How can you be truly happy when you don't truly accept yourself? Why would you want to be yourself in this world where being like all the others is rewarded and being authentic is judged upon?

You see, the funny thing is that true happiness lies in the authenticity of our feelings, in being absolutely the best person each one of us can be, caring deeply about ourselves, and in understanding and accepting everyone else the way they truly are.

True happiness is scary because it will inevitably be accompanied by sadness, fear, perhaps even regret. But it will also bring with it hope, joy and lots and lots of smiles. True happiness is not a moment, neither a thing, a place or a person, but a way of life. A way of life only those who truly want to be happy might embrace.

Everybody, let's try put and end to this numb sense of happiness; everybody,  let's try to live our lives to their fullest until we reach a happy end.

Mire dijo...
