Belly butterflies

Nilú, a young and naive ladybug, was trying to discover the wonders of youth, but the small garden where she lived never allowed her to fully let go of her wings and fly to her heart's content.

Over time, she heard about a mysterious item that made anyone who touched it feel more alive than ever before. Astonished by this idea, she decided to go on a quest to get it, and discover how far away her wings could really take her. After a long journey full of dangers and struggle, she finally got it, and indeed, it was unbelievable how she felt more alive than ever before.

She returned home, and frantically shared with everyone the stories of her travel and of that unrealistic feeling that she found. Over time, everything returned to the way it was before, she forgot the incredible feeling she once felt, and without noticing it, she also forgot the heights her wings allowed her to reach. All the memories of those feelings had faded away, and had become nothing more than a shallow dream. And it was then, just when everything seemed to get lost, that her path crossed with a sign, a simple picture with just a few words, yet with a powerful meaning, strong enough to remind her of the past, and to help her realize that the best is yet to come.

She made up her mind, made all the required arrangements, said all the proper good good-byes, "I'm going away to get more butterflies for my belly", was all she said. She left, in search of the life she wanted to live; a life in which she felt completely alive.
